1) My desired size and color is sold out, when will you re-stock more?
We will be re-stocking select sizes and colors from our current summer 2019 collection later this summer after all original pre-orders have shipped. Specific date and time will be announced as we approach the re-stock date on our public social media platforms.
2) How do I access the site early with my Pod Squad membership on re-stock day?
We will announce the code to access the site at 12 Noon EST in our live stream prior to the sale. There will also be a pinned post with the code posted at 12 Noon EST. Our live stream for this sale will begin at 11AM EST. We will be announcing the design contest winner during our live stream!
3) What is the pricing for summer fabric tails?
Tails without fins will remain $335. Tails with fins will be $350.
6) Are fins available on all summer fabric tails?
No, designs without fins cannot have fins added. Designs with fins will all have fins. We will not be selling fins al a carte for past or current designs at this time.
7) What are the fins made of?
Fins are made of the same neoprene as our tails and feature a drainage hole and a vinyl insert to fold the fin shape.
8) How will the tails fit compared to previous lines?
With the summer line, we have kept the neoprene the same as our fall line of tails so tails will fit similarly. Keep in mind when sizing that the numbers listed on the chart take into account *maximum* stretch. A snug fit is ideal for swimming and in the water while a looser fit is often preferred for land gigs.
9) When will the tails ship?
Summer fabric tails are estimated to ship 6-12 weeks following purchase as indicated by their pre-sale disclaimer at the top of every tail listing.
10) Is there anything new I should be aware of for this sale?
Yes, we are implementing a $5 shipping and handling fee for purchases moving forward. This fee will help cover the cost of packaging and the newly implemented tariffs facing Finfolk and other USA businesses. We've never had this fee before but it was definitely time to implement not only so that we are not eating all these costs but also so that we can provide more beautiful and soon, more eco conscious packaging.
11) What about monofins for this new collection?
Anything monofin related for the new tails will stay exactly the same as all previous fabric tails. Fabric tails do not come with a monofin. Please reference "fabric tail information" for further information regarding monofin selection, fluke dimensions, etc.
12) Will there be monofins for sale?
Yes! We will have Finis Shooters for pre-sale on Saturday! They are also estimated to ship within 6-12 weeks following purchase.
13) If I bought items in several different orders, can I combine shipping?
In short, it depends on what your order. Merchandise items such as leggings, sports bras, shirts, backpacks, etc ship directly from our manufacturer thus we cannot combine their shipping with tails. Scales, stickers, clutches, tails, and tops ship from our studio and can be combined to ship together. If you would like to combine your shipping, please email the team with both order numbers to combine. We do our best to ship combined orders together but occasionally this is not possible due to box size or because one item is ready far before the other.
14) What is the best way to contact the team?
If you would like to contact the team, please email firstname.lastname@example.org . Please always include order number(s) when emailing about a specific order or issues relating to your order. We will answer your email promptly, generally in 1-3 business days. Please be sensitive to business hours and the team’s day off.
Business hours are 9am-5pm EST Tuesday-Saturday.
The team works extremely hard and carving out time for restorative days off is so important. We will reply to emails in the order they were received unless the email is a time-sensitive matter such as address change, cancelation, etc.
15) My shipping cost seems high. Why is that and will the team refund this?
During large sales, the team sets our default shipping box for the fabric tail boxes. This cuts down on a ton of shipping issues we would have otherwise but is admittedly a pain when you’re ordering smaller items like tops and apparel. We change this setting back a couple days after the sale however anytime there is a significant difference in shipping, for any reason, we will manually refund the difference to the card used for the order when printing the shipping label. You do not have to email the team for us to process this partial refund.
16) The card on file for an order is canceled. What should I do?
If you can no longer access a card used to place an order, please email the team asap so that we can make a note of this in your order. If a refund is processed for a card that is no longer valid and you have not notified the team prior, we will have to wait for the refund to bounce back before we can refund you through a different method. This involves a lot of extra work and extra time to process not only for the team but also for you as you’ll have to call your bank, credit card company, etc to work this out. The team is not responsible for extended waits for refunds in instances where notification was not sent about changed payment method.
17) What size fabric tail should I order?
Please follow the sizing chart on our website for fabric tails. The size chart already has stretch factored in so when determining size, please order so that all of your measurements are at or below the listed number. For example, if you have a 27-inch waist and 40-inch butt/hip, you should order a medium because this will accommodate the butt/hip measurement. When in doubt, order a size larger. Our fabric tails are made of 1mm neoprene and can be easily altered by a seamstress or with a sewing machine at home.
18) Whoops, I ordered the wrong size. Can I swap fabric tail colors/styles?
For the sake of keeping inventory organized, we cannot swap styles or colors. If you would like to switch and order a different size or style of in-stock tail, please purchase your desired tail and then email the team with your order number to cancel your first order. Order cancellations can only be completed if the tail has not been shipped yet. We recommend purchasing the other tail(s) first and then canceling the first order so that your desired tail does not sell out in the meantime.
19) What happens if my tail doesn't fit?
You have 7 days from the time your tail is delivered to try on and inspect your tail. Please email the team within this time period if you have any issues or would like to process a return. Tails must be in new, unused condition with the tags still attached to be eligible for return. We apologize for the inconvenience, but due to the limited inventory of our lines, we cannot process exchanges.
20) What if I need to cancel my order?
